About Us
What started out as a passion for animals over 10 years ago, has turned into a sanctuary for over 60 ducks, geese, sheep, and more. Welcome to Bear Brook Feather Friends Rescue and Sanctuary!
Tippy, a Pekin duck, came to me about 2 years ago. I knew he wasn't long for this world, so I spent as much time I could with him, while taking care of the others, and a special bond and love formed between us. His life and passing made me realize how many other animals there are that need a loving and caring home, and was determined to open this rescue and sanctuary.
Our primary mission is to see that no animal will suffer from neglect or abuse – or be left alone somewhere to be prey for some predator. Your donations allow Bear Brook Feather Friends Rescue and Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. , to continue to provide a healthy, happy haven for these beautiful domestic creatures, which are given the best possible care, nourishment, and shelter, while enjoying our farm.
We will be a resource to folks who may or may not know how to care for our feather friends, and while we do not have every answer, we can at least provide everyone with a starting point.
Requests to take in animals are never turned down - we try to place them with the best mates, so they live a long fruitful life. We plan to offer folks to volunteer, sanctuary tours, and the opportunity to interact with all our wonderful creatures, big and small!
