About Us
While all of us are busy practicing social distancing during the Coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis, our staff is busy providing updated information on our website and across social media. As this crisis is evolving rapidly and impacting destinations around the globe, our community is pulling together supporting local restaurants, golf courses, our parks and still enjoying sunsets on Lake Murray. Please continue to enjoy our beautiful outdoor resources while practicing proper social distancing.
Our Visitors Center remains closed to the public but behind the doors our staff is preparing for marketing campaigns that are ready to release for a stimulating and quick release in a moments notice. We are closely monitoring changes and developments as they occur and are regularly having conversations with leaders and experts in our industry. We will continue to share the most timely and accurate information possible.
Capital City/Lake Murray Country has several national fishing events scheduled to come to Lake Murray in April, May and June. We are happy to report these have all been rescheduled; so at this point, we have only lost some family vacationers.
As with many attractions and tourism industry related businesses, we have made financial cuts to keep the organization sound. We are also continuing many meetings through teleconferencing.
