About Us
Tamera was born in Arlington, Virginia and is the daughter of a Navy Officer and Oklahoma City Police officer. As the daughter of a military officer, she had the opportunity to live overseas in Madrid, Spain and Manila, Philippines before relocating back to Northern , Virginia. After graduating from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with a B.S. in Textiles, she earned a M.S. in Interior Architecture from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma.
After graduate school, she spent five years with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a space planner and interior designer. For two of those years, she also taught night classes in Barrier-Free Design and Advanced Residential Design at Marymount University. In 2000, Tamera headed south to the Queen City to work as an Interior Designer and Space Planner for Little & Associates, a well-known architectural firm.
Tamera’s background in architecture and design provided a natural transition into residential real estate. She was a Broker/Realtor® at Better Homes & Gardens, and Engel & Volkers prior to joining Premier Sotheby's International Realty.

Tamera loves her work and genuinely cares for her clients. She strives to make their experience enjoyable and rewarding, always takes time to understand what is important for each client, and provides attentive service throughout the course of each transaction. She goes above and beyond their expectations to ensure that each phase of their transaction runs seamlessly and that her clients goals have been met.
Tamera has lived in Waxhaw for over 20 years and has a rescue cat named, Olive. She has a passion for helping animals in need and volunteers for the Humane Society of Union County and Winghaven Gardens. She also enjoys painting, art, design and traveling.
