About Us
"In 1973 Sieu Tang Wood came to the United States with less than $300 in her pocket looking for a better life. Full of determination and a strong work ethic, Sieu set out to make her American Dream come true. By 1985 she had a contract for clothing alterations with Maxwell and Gunter Air Force Bases. In 1993 she opened her first alterations shop for civilians on Cloverdale Road and ultimately began to relinquish the military contracts. Now Sieu has six alteration shops around the River Region including one in Prattville. Sieu also designs ladies dresses, formal wear and wedding attire.
However, it is her strong belief in giving back that is the driving force in all Sieu does. She has given of her time and efforts to Auburn's Women's Philanthropy Board in the College of Human Sciences, Auburn's Apparel Merchandising, Design and Production Management Advisory Board, the Montgomery Symphony, Air University Foundation at Maxwell AFB, Kid One and AUM Confucius Institute as well as the Montgomery Area Council On Aging just to name a few.
