I had Emmerson lay a concrete slab to support a covered patio. First thing they did was break my gate. They had to repair that twice.  The slab slopes toward the house and I have a crack between the slab and the house where water runs in. I have two spots where water puddles about 2 foot by 3 foot long and the puddles are about a half an inch deep. I can not lay down rugs and I can not put any outdoor furniture on my new covered patio because of the standing water ever time it rains.  The rain spouts he installed are leaking and dripping from all directions. They tried to fix this twice already and it still is not right. The down spouts he attached do not match my existing gutters, he brought over some spray paint to try to correct this but its still not a match. While the patio was under construction I had to pick up trash every day. Empty bottles, half eaten sandwiches, cups full of soda left in my back yard was the norm for every night when I got home from work. I have picked up several rusty razor blades, broken jig saw blades, numerous screws nuts and bolts and even had a flat tire in my own drive way from a nail left behind by his crew. I had to ask them to come and remove trash from the yard twice during the process of putting up the patio, I  left them two empty trash cans to use that they never touched. One of the crew was threatening to pawn some of the tools because he was not getting paid on time,  had no gas money, had no ride home, and had no food money. Not sure how that all became my problem. Please be aware and do some research before you choose this company,

After unsuccesfully trying to grow grass DIY for two years after our in-ground pool build, we decided to call in a pro to tackle the job and also execute a dry creek bed we had envisioned for a wet corner of our yard for quite some time on Pinterest.  

Simply put, Emerson Blodgett Landscaping "knocked it out of the park" on everything he did for us! We now have gorgeous green lawn and a graceful, natural-looking dry creek bed as both a focal point of our yard and also to help expedite water towards a nearby creek.

Several things stand out about the work Emerson and his team of guys did. 

First is quality of the work. Our soil was riddled with gravel and eroding rapidly on a sloped area adjacent to a recent project.  He masterfully prepped the topsoil and filled in the thin/poor areas with the nutrient-rich soil from the creek bed he was installing.  Emerson personally made sure what we envisioned "on Pinterest" was realized in our project. He placed the large boulders to their locations I had specified on my rough plan, and then hand-placed the smaller rocks artfully along the creek bed. When I came home from work, and wanted a few of the larger boulder repositioned, his crew accommodated my every "artsy" request!   

Second is the timeliness of the work. When we hired Emerson, he estimated that he could probably get us done within two to three weeks. It was two weeks to the day. Note: We did hand-pick and purchase the larger rocks for the project, and as DIY-ers this was rather fun!

Finally, just working with Emerson and his crew was pleasant. He and his crews are hard working, polite, matter-of-fact, and always made sure we were happy with what was done. They picked up the work-site before leaving. How nice, too that Emerson pressure washed several section of our driveway that got stained up a bit by their equipment when they were done, too.  I would definitely hire Emerson Blodgett Landscaping again and recommend them highly!
