My 11-year-old joined COS when he was six years old. In the past four years, he has made a huge progress in music, and has always been looking forward to his COS time. COS offers our children so many opportunities to perform outside the regular practice. As a COS member, my son has performed at various famous concert halls and many community venues. I can not think of a better way to spend our weekend other than going to COS.

Our son loves the COS community. He has met so many talented young musicians and he looks forward to spending his Saturday afternoons there. The COS faculty are caring and highly competent. I highly recommend COS.

Our son has been a part of COS for two year now and in that time I have learned that it's so much more than just a place to learn music.  Dr. Ma and her faculty truly care about each and every child. They treat everyone like family and provide an environment where students are given the opportunity to explore and challenge themselves to be the best that they can be.  The kids also learn how to work with each other in many different scenarios.  They grow up together, building bonds and taking with them something beautiful when they move on with their lives after graduation.  I've witnessed many alumni return to help out and just be a part of that wonderful community again.  Three cheers for COS and thanks for being a part of our son's life.

COS is extraordinary in the sense that the teaching staff and admin genuinely care for their students.  Every students' love for music is nurtured at COS.  COS provides students so many opportunities to grow and flourish such as participation in orchestra, chamber music, musicianship classes, recitals and competitions.  If you are looking for a wholesome learning experience for your child, I highly recommend joining COS!

COS is not just an ORCHESTRA - it is a FAMILY. We are very fortunate that both our children are engage in COS. Maestro Michael, Dr. Ma and the whole faculty makes sure the children achieved their full potential as a musician in a fun atmosphere where they can grow and develop friendship. The whole orchestra do come together on most occasion assuring that the younger members have great role models. The parents get to know each other very well ., find ways to celebrate each milestone with the kids and the whole team. COS is indeed a community ...

The COS is an extremely wonderful program for learning music. The staff makes learning and playing music fun and enjoyable and the other participants makes you feel like you’re not alone, like you’re part of a family. The COS really fuels a child’s musical drive. It’s a truly magnificent experience.

COS is a wonderful place for all those talented kids enjoy music together, grow up together.

It’s wonderful experience to know and to work with COS. I am so honored to take the children to China last year for tour. Their concert is so stunning and people just love their music!  they are so talented and most of all, the contributions from Yeou-Cheng Ma and Michael Dadap are tremendous and I am really touched, Hope we can get more support so that our children can realize their dreams

I have known the Children’s Orchestra Society for over 30 years, have been privileged to see it grow to be the outstanding orchestral organization it is today. I have seen many of its talented members and students move on to become exemplary musicians. I have been witness to the wholehearted dedication of Yeou-Cheng Ma and Michael Dadap in imparting the gift of music to children. Every year at the annual concert audiences are wowed by their  virtuosity and professionalism. The children get the opportunity to play with special guest artists which is always exciting. I urge everyone to come and see one of the concerts of the Children Orchestra Society. You will be coming for more.

We sent our two daughters to COS 6 years ago.  They have learned to express themselves, respect others and work with their peers to discover their collective voice.  Kids learn the language of music in a very family friendly setting. The experience benefits us as the parents as much as it does to our daughters.  I strongly recommend it!

From the youngest to the most advanced, the Children's Orchestra Society provides child-centered, tailored educational program for each child, challenging them to reach for the stars, while enjoying the joy of sharing music with peers and famous artists. Faculty and staff are friendly, nurturing and supportive.

Their Concert on May 24, 2018 was incredibly outstanding! They were children as young as 9 years old and high school seniors 17-18 years old! The opening number on Bernstein’s Candide “knocked it out of the ballpark” so to speak. The guests a Violinist and a Marimba player added spark to the already energetic spirited Young Symphonic Ensemble.
