Today I went to get a manicure and pedicure with my mom at V-tech nails on Spring water. Like always we made appointments two days in advance, so that we could both sit together, and both get our nails done at the same time. Before sitting down, I asked if it was possible that we could get our nails done at the same time, as the last couple of times I have been in my with my mom, my mom was finished with her toenails and nails before my toenails were even finished, and I could already see that somebody had been starting on my mom's toenails while I would be sitting waiting for another staff member to become ready to start on mine. The staff (Daisy) was helpful and gave me some suggestions on how to call them and work it out in the future, but for today it still was issue. Again I was still getting my toes worked on while my mom had already moved from getting her toenails worked on to being done with her fingernails, so like last time I said I would come in another time to get my nails done as my mom is now finished and we would like to leave. Second issue, Then the guy who was working on my toenails could not understand The simple design that I wanted on one of my toes. even after Showing him several times, He was still confused, so I just said go ahead and do what you want because at this point I had given up. I wasn't upset, and I wasn't rude to the man who was doing my nails, or the ladies who work there, and I just said it wasn't what I wanted, but that was OK. I realized that he probably was new and wasn't able to understand, so I was willing to let it go, But what I did hold an issue with is the owner who's name is Tina. Daisy was being very nice and helping me check it out when I asked if it was possible to get a discount due to the fact that I had been waiting for the second time, and due to that the man not doing what I asked him to do. At this point, Tina the manager, doesn't even turn her head to talk to me while she is working on somebodies nails, and she says loudly in front of her customer and her staff, "well did you tell him no this is absolutely not this is not what I wanted? " At which point I replied I did repeat to him several times what I wanted, and showed him, but he still didn't understand, so I said go ahead and just do what you're doing because I was done explaining, and of course I didn't wanna make a scene, or worse make this guy feel bad. Tina (the manager) said "well if you didn't say no this isn't what I want and you let him continue to work on you and take time then that's your fault". All the other girls at the counter looked horrified and apologized to me profusely while Tina the owner was very rude didn't even look me in the eye and just continued to work on her customer while saying that I was wrong, and that I didn't make enough of a fuss about it to deserve any sort of discount or apology for future business. My mom and I have been going to get our nails done together here at least once a month for a pedicure and manicure for years, but I never once had to deal with the owner. At that point I told Daisy (because Tina the owner wasn't looking at me) that I would no longer be giving them my business, not due to the fact that the man made a mistake, and not due to the fact that I was made to wait for the second time, nor was it a problem with the staff, but because the manager Tina had treated me with such disrespect and completely made me feel like an asshole in front of herself and her staff and the man who worked on me.. I told Daisy, and the staff, and the man who did my pedicure, that it was not their fault,  and that I would no longer be returning for business Because of how Tina treated me. She had no respect for her customers, or for me, and how she treated the whole situation so poorly that she felt she needed to make obstacle out of it in front of the whole operation which I believe could have been handled so differently, more discreetly, and more sympathetily. Instead she chose to yell at me while not even looking at me and working on another ladies nails. I feel bad for the staff who have to have her as a manager because they looked absolutely horrified, and a little scared. There's no doubt in my mind that Tina is a taskmaster, and has no common sense or empathy for her staff or for her customers. What has customer service come to at this point that Makes this lady feel like this is OK to treat somebody who is a regular customer is ￼beyond me. The staff looked so surprised and kept apologizing to me even though Tina was sitting right there. I'm so disappointed and I don't think anyone in their right mind go get their nails done there because they are slow, even when you make appointments they don't have people to wait on you, The staff doesn't understand simple instructions, And the owner is completely unaware of the proper adequate for customer service and customer complaints. She was the reason that I will never return there. I put up with a lot of other little things along the years, But her attitude and actions is what made me say never again.
