Whigham Design Associates is a full service Interior Design business working with builders, architects, and clients on their new build jobs, remodel jobs, and simple face lifts to old tired spaces. My job is to listen to your needs, likes and dislikes, and problems that need solving and come up with a design solution that works for your lifestyle. After all you are the one that lives or works there! At the same time of solving your issues, my job is also to make your space innovative and creative paying attention to many details. Some people have never worked with designers before, but the experience can be rewarding. There are often misconceptions that they are too expensive or fear that their voice may not be heard. As a professional designer listening to your voice is the biggest key in a successful job. And with all our education and knowledge that is required to keep one's license, all that knowledge can be extremely beneficial to you in making your decisions and yes, even save you money in the end from making mistakes.

We have enjoyed working with Whigham Designs on several projects in our 7,200 square-foot home in Addison, TX, literally from floor to ceiling.  What we found exceedingly valuable is Sandra Whigham’s ability to listen to our wishes and carefully implement them without inserting her preferences.  She has a unique ability to gently nudge us to make more informed and quality decisions that undoubtedly improve the finished project.  After doing remodels on many of the rooms in our home, Tom decided it was time to tackle the kitchen, den, guest bath and powder room. It was at this point, Denise, decided she had had enough with living in a construction zone and made the decision to visit friends in Oklahoma and live in our motorhome at their ranch for the 4 ½ months it took to complete the project. During that time, Sandra did an amazing job of communicating with Denise remotely and with the General Contractor, Chris Johnson.  The finished project, down to the spice drawers and dividers, was completed just four days before we had our Christmas party with over 100 guests.  Denise & I couldn’t tackle getting decorations up in such a short time.  So, Sandra found a team of folks that specialize in it. We loved working with her and plan to use her again soon as we begin yet another live-in remodel at our new place in east TX.

Sandra has worked on various projects over the past 15 plus years for me and my husband. These projects include everything from remodels of our home, furniture selection , remodel of a newly purchased home and two new construction builds ( a garage office apartment and lake house) in Montana.

Her organizational skills, wealth of knowledge in construction and excellent design skills in providing detailed sketches for the final product are not only unique, visually beautiful, but extremely functional.

In  fact,  in large part due to Sandra's direction, the end result of the Montana house surpassed what we had envisioned it would be . She had to work with an out of state contractor and his suppliers. For each project,  she accompanied me to Montana on one trip to make the majority of  selections and worked tirelessly during those trips to document, organize, meet with suppliers and cabinetry people to prepare a detailed design plan that was followed by our Montana contractor. With Sandra's involvement, we were able to build two projects in Montana while spending the majority of the time in Dallas. 

Sandra also has a gift for communicating what needs to be done and how it should be done in a matter of fact, but eloquent and gracious manner. Sandra's extensive knowledge and creativity enables her to always find a  "way for something to be done". 
Sandra also has a tremendous amount of common sense and knows how to work within a budget maximizing the best use of ones resources.  She is personable and delightful to deal with and makes excellent use of the time spent with her. 
I have recommended Sandra without hesitation to many of our friends as they have seen first hand the results of her work.  There is so much Sandra brings to the table far beyond a typical designer. The end results are a testament to this fact. I highly recommend her services!!

I have had the pleasure of working with Sandra for almost 25 years.  Initially, she helped with numerous remodeling projects involving a house built in 1929.  She recently helped with the sale of that house and the furnishing/decorating of a new one. Her taste is impeccable and her attention to detail is outstanding. Her team even managed the framing and placement of favorite photos from our teams' work. All we had to do was choose colors and move in. Sandra advised us as we completed floor plans and worked with our builder throughout the building process. Our builder said it made his job easier by working with Sandra. Sandra assisted in every area from flooring, paint selections, hardware, custom tile designs, furniture selection, & window treatments. In the end I had a beautiful home that reflected out tastes, and I have to give Sandra most of the credit for that.
